Conference theme:
Europe in a Reordering World: Power, Resilience and Transformation
The ESAANZ 2026 Conference invites scholars, representing broad range of expertise from social science, politics, international relations, history to education and sociology, to examine how Europe is responding to a rapidly reordering international environment. As war, technological change, climate pressures, economic competition and democratic challenges reshape societies and global politics, Europe faces difficult questions about power, resilience and transformation. The conference seeks to explore how European institutions, societies and actors are adapting to these developments and what they reveal about Europe’s evolving place in the world. The conference organisers invite papers across the broad spectrum of disciplines relating to Europe in these transformative times.
